Aspect Exhibitions was one of the sponsors of the the ESSA (Event Supplier and Services Association) annual In the Rough charity golf day. Here are the highlights of the event.
Northampton, United Kingdom, August 4, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Aspect Exhibitions were pleased to be a sponsor of the ESSA (Event Supplier and Services Association) annual In the Rough charity golf day. The event was also supported by AEV (Association of Event Venues) and by AEO (Association of Event Organisers) and took place at the world famous The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.
The day started at 9:30 AM with registration and a golfer breakfast at 10 AM. A briefing after breakfast at 11 AM was followed by a Shotgun start at 11:30 AM with 100 golfers taking part in the event. Aspect Exhibitions sponsored the third hole which was a par 3, and it saw a beat the pro competition with a closest to the pin challenge where prizes were on offer when the pro was defeated. As well as sponsoring a hole, Aspect Exhibitions also entered a four-person team and finished a respectable 10th overall, with a two over par 70. The individual Stableford winner was Johnno Gordon who finished on -9 under par shooting a fantastic 45 points.
The weather did its bit and stayed pleasant allowing everyone to have an excellent day golfing; after which it was time to relax and unwind at Sam’s bar where people relaxed over a few drinks and networking. The evening reception started at 7 PM in the exquisite Warwick Suite, and the formal dinner had a very relaxed feel to it with everyone enjoying themselves. Once the meal was out of the way, it was time to get down to the awards ceremony where all of the awards and prizes were given to the winners.
Peter Shilton (OBE), England’s most capped football player, was the guest of honour at the evening regaling everyone with his interesting stories and anecdotes during his after-dinner speech. The event came to a close at midnight, where the revelries moved to the resident's bar and brought about a close to an overall excellent day. The event was a huge success overall and will be one that Aspect Exhibitions will be attending in the future.
